    Unity in Action: Local Community Teams Up with TNI to Secure Sugapa Market

    INTAN JAYA - In a remarkable display of collaboration, the Raider Infantry Battalion 509/Balawara Yudha Kostrad, part of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, has joined forces with the local community to enhance security at the Sugapa Market in Intan Jaya Regency, Papua Tengah Province.

    On October 19, 2024, the 509 Task Forces conducted a successful security operation, ensuring a safe environment for market-goers. Led by First Lieutenant Abdian, the team worked closely with local leaders to check vehicles entering and exiting the market, fostering trust and cooperation among residents.

    Community leader Mr. Lukas Sondegau expressed his appreciation, stating, "We are grateful for the TNI's partnership in securing the Sugapa Market. The improved safety has reassured us that Papua is safe."

    Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, the HABEMA Commanding General, praised the initiative, emphasizing its role in promoting peace and supporting regional development. "This collaboration is a testament to TNI's commitment to building a safer Papua, " he noted.

    The event highlights the positive impact of community and military cooperation, paving the way for a brighter future in the region.
